Shefford Gym have been helping people get fit and stay that way since 2009. Shefford Gym is a private gym in Shefford, Bedfordshire and is owned and run by husband and wife team Guy and Lou Green. Shefford Gym have developed a friendly, welcoming environment which suits both men and women of all ages and abilities. 
Guy is a fully qualified personal trainer, motivator and also advices on nutrition to enable you to achieve your fitness goals. Personal training provides the most effective way for you to workout. 
 
Personal training sessions cost from £10.00 per hour at Shefford Gym 
 
Lou is a fully qualified Pilates instructor who runs small classes and private Pilates sessions which will enable you to achieve a balanced body which is strong and supple, gain a flat stomach, balanced legs, and a strong back. 
 
Group Pilates sessions at Shefford Gym cost £10.00 per hour, per person 
The main purpose of swedish massage is to increase the oxygen flow in the blood and release toxins from the muscles. Other possible benefits include stimulation of the circulation, an increase in muscle tone and a balance of the muscular skeletal system. Lou is a fully qualified Swedish masseur.

I started at Shefford Gym when it opened in 2009, initially Guy sat with me to understand my fitness goals after which he tailored a programme to enable me to meet these goals. In the intervening period Guy has encouraged me to increase my level of fitness by progressively increasing the intensity of the programme but this has always been at a pace that I can achieve, which has definitely ensured that I continue attending regularly. 
 
During the time I have been going to Shefford Gym my levels of fitness have definitely increased and others have noticed that I have more speed and stamina when I take my dogs to agility training. The best bit is that I have dropped a dress size and can eat more chocolate!

What I like is the informal atmosphere and the individual tailor made support for me. I was nervous in the beginning as I am not a 'gym type' but I have been helped to develop and improve at my own pace and in a way that suits me - the sessions are well organised, stretching me without over doing it and I find it very helpful. The most important thing though is that the outcomes are there - I feel fitter and healthier and really enjoying going to the gym - something I never thought I would say.
